au/pg/canon/oc: kuroko no basket & au
takao is a girl who wants to have fun during her high school years! she's always been something of a tomboy type, with her major interests more commonly shared by her male classmates rather than female. she's known to be a great sports team manager and while helping out the basketball team in middle school, she happened to see midorima and the other generation of miracles girls play on the teikou team. it was almost instantly that her passion for basketball skyrocketed and she applied to shuutoku in order to manage their team.
generally, takao enjoys managing boy's sports teams because she feels like she has more in common with them. an avid gamer, she's always hitting up the arcades after practice or staying out late to get midnight release copies of new games with teammates. in fact, midorima is takao's first good friend who also happens to be female. though it didn't really start out that way, thanks to midorima's stuck up attitude. takao fought against it though, staying late to help her practice drills (whether midorima wanted her to or not) until they eventually bonded over their common shared interest: basketball. once the two of them warm up to one another, they start spending nearly all of their time together. midorima's behavior as a team player overall softens up and shuutoku begins to function more fluidly as a team, mostly in part to takao's persistence.
it's takao's dream to play basketball on the team with the others, but due to her height (156cm) she accepts it as something that just cannot happen. however, when midorima and miyaji discover that takao has a skill later known as "the hawk eye", which allows her to see the entire court at once, making her able to both pass and intercept passes much easier than a person with a normal visible range. initially, she had always accepted this talent as a method to being the best team manager she could be. after talking it over with kimura and ootsubo, miyaji and midorima want takao to play with them as a regular. as a member of the team, takao provides a great sense of morale. (even when she's pranking them or just generally being a little shit.)
objective: make a serious confession! takao is a very "go with the flow" and "whatever happens, happens" type who doesn't like to be stressed out about things, so for her to confess something that could potentially be very serious would be very much out of her comfort zone. not just because of the nature of the confession and the need to get it off her chest, but the stress that comes with the possibility of not being taken seriously is there also.
